1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using JD Home Improvements' website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Services
JD Home Improvements provides home renovation, repair, and improvement services as described on our website. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without notice.
3. Quotes and Estimates
Quotes and estimates provided by JD Home Improvements are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are subject to change if the scope of work changes or if unexpected issues arise during the project.
We make every effort to provide accurate quotes, but final costs may vary based on actual conditions discovered during work or changes requested by the client.
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be specified in your project contract. Typically, we require:
- A deposit before work begins (usually 25-50% of the total project cost)
- Progress payments at specified milestones for larger projects
- Final payment upon completion and customer satisfaction
All payments are due within 7 days of invoice date unless otherwise specified in writing.
5. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a scheduled service:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start date will receive a full refund of any deposit paid, less any non-refundable expenses already incurred.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start date may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the deposit.
- Once work has begun, cancellation will result in payment for all work completed and materials purchased up to the point of cancellation.
6. Warranties
JD Home Improvements provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on all services performed. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by client misuse or negligence
- Issues arising from client-supplied materials
- Acts of nature or circumstances beyond our control
Manufacturer warranties for materials and products are passed on to the client and are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the JD Home Improvements website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of JD Home Improvements or its content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JD Home Improvements shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use our services
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our service
- Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our service by any third party
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
